FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.

When you make contact, I will send an intake or referral form to be completed online. These are individual for each client.

Once I receive this form, you will be placed on our waiting list. Depending on your needs, therapist fit and availability, our waiting list generally ranges around 2-8 weeks.

Once a place becomes available, we will make contact with you to book your first appointment.

Alternatively, you may use our Book Appointment feature to book your first appointment and complete the intake form online. Please note that the appointment is just tentative and may be changed if additional information is required.

Unfortunately no, Mental Health Plans, Medicare rebates and private health insurance rebates are not available. This does mean however that you do not need to go to your GP to get a referral to attend our services.

Yes, where appropriate I am able to attend Care Team and Planning meetings. Please note this service is charged at the same hourly rate as the therapy sessions provided.

I accept referrals from community agencies and offer a working partnership to create sustainable change and positive outcomes for the clients.

I accept referrals from agencies and the private sector.

When I receive the initial referral, I send out an individual online referral form to be completed.

Session lengths generally vary between 45-60 minutes depending on the service offered.

As a guide, sessions with children are around 45 minutes, whilst adult sessions are around 55-60 minutes.

Sessions are guided by your needs and are not prescriptive.
A minimum of 4-6 sessions is a good idea as time is taken to develop a therapeutic relationship, get to understand each other and the process.

I hold a "verification Registration” and can support NDIS participants who are Agency Managed, Self-Managed and Plan Managed.

I use NDIS support category Improved Daily Living Skills. NDIS line item:

  • Assessment Recommendation Therapy or Training - Art Therapist: 15_610_0128_1_3, or
  • Early Childhood Intervention Professional - Art Therapist:  15_610_0118_1 _3, or
  • Individual Counselling: 15_056_0128_1_3.

It is important to me that you find a 'good fit' therapist, so I am best able to meet you needs.

If at any time, you no longer feel like I am the right therapist for you, let me know and I will discuss the other options available to you.

I uphold strict privacy and confidentiality practices. Please let me know if you have any concerns (such as not wanting to run into a colleague or client you may know attends), I will do my best to meet and accommodate your concerns.
