NDIS Support

NDIS Therapeutic Supports

Art therapy and counselling to support emotional wellbeing, regulation, communication and daily functioning for NDIS participants.

Who I Support

I work with self‑managed, plan‑managed and NDIA‑managed participants across a range of needs, including psychosocial disability, emotional regulation, trauma, anxiety, sensory processing and communication challenges.

I am NDIS‑verified and hold professional membership with:

  • ANZACATA (Registered Art Therapist)
  • ACA (Registered Counsellor)

This allows me to provide therapeutic supports under the NDIS for all management types.

How Therapeutic Supports Help

Therapeutic supports can assist participants to:

  • build emotional regulation
  • improve daily functioning
  • strengthen communication and self‑expression
  • develop coping strategies
  • increase independence and confidence
  • work towards capacity‑building goals
  • process trauma or overwhelming experiences
  • improve social and relational skills
  • support sensory and body‑based regulation

Sessions are tailored to the participant’s goals and support needs, and progress is reviewed regularly.

Approach and Modalities

Therapeutic supports may include:

  • art therapy
  • counselling
  • grounding and regulation strategies
  • sensory‑based approaches
  • strengths‑based and trauma‑informed practice
  • creative communication supports

Each session is adapted to the participant’s developmental stage, sensory needs and preferred ways of engaging. My creative and sensory‑based approaches are well suited to neurodivergent clients who benefit from non‑verbal expression, embodied regulation, predictable pacing and gentle, attuned support.

Working Toward NDIS Goals

Therapeutic supports can be aligned with goals such as:

  • improving emotional regulation
  • increasing independence in daily activities
  • building social and communication skills
  • strengthening self‑awareness and confidence
  • developing routines and coping strategies
  • enhancing functional capacity
  • improving community participation
  • supporting mental health and wellbeing

I collaborate with participants, families, support coordinators and allied health teams to ensure therapy is meaningful and goal‑directed.

Reporting and Collaboration

I provide:

  • progress updates
  • goal‑aligned session notes
  • end‑of‑plan reports
  • recommendations for future supports
  • collaborative communication with support coordinators, plan managers and allied health teams

Accessing Services

I offer therapeutic supports for:

  • Self‑managed participants
  • Plan‑managed participants
  • NDIA‑managed participants (through my verified registration and professional memberships)

Sessions can be provided in‑person or online depending on needs and suitability.
